The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 27 consumer technology product categories. Those with the highest rating receive the “Best of Innovation” distinction. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic and design.
Bird Buddy is a smart bird feeder that notifies users whenever a bird stops by, sending a notification via the Bird Buddy app. The built-in technology allows users to capture beautiful photos and video clips of the bird whilst the app gamifies the experience by recognizing birds, currently over 1000 species, and organizing them in a “Pokémon GO like” collection. The feeder unit also notifies users when bird seed levels are running low, is WiFi enabled and has an optional solar panel. Users can also switch between units and streams, sharing their photos and videos with other users.
Franci Zidar, CEO, Bird Buddy said:
“To be awarded CES honoree in three categories is outstanding and we are humbled with this accolade. It is fantastic that our idea and Bird Buddy product has been recognised by the judges who are peerless in their expertise. We are excited for our future as we continue to reconnect people with nature, using smart technology and great design to bring joyful experiences.”
